Born and raised on the southside of Chicago  Tamarie T. has always moved to the sound of his own melody. Tamarie believes that the only way that one can find their true purpose is to first look within. This is the foundation in which Tamarie has used to develop his style of music, find his sense of fashion and enhance his way of thinking when it comes to the connection of spirituality and creativity.

Tamarie T. discovered his love for the art (music) at the age of 4 dancing and singing to old school classics with his grandmother. Inspired by so many genres he took a serious interest in Funk and began to work long hours throughout the day to perfect his live performance. Some of his influences include: James Brown, Little Richard, Fela Kuti, Jimi Hendrix, George Clinton, Bootsy Collins, David Bowie, Junie Morrison, Bob Marley, The Bar Kays, Morris Day and The Time, just to name a few.

Tamarie has had the pleasure of establishing himself as a true performer in his hometown's nightlife scene in such places as: Kingston Mines, The Elbo Room, the House of Blues, Mothers, Chicago Blues Festival, and the  Underground Wonder bar with other great musicians. Building this reputation has definitely allowed Tamarie to leave  a lasting impression on all those who have experienced his electrifying performance.

Tamarie T. is now focusing on his upcoming studio project and upcoming performances with his 8 piece band "Tamarie T. and The Elektra Kumpany." This dynamic group of musicians joined together will bring you music that shocks and rocks your soul with a groove that will make you dance, think, and feel good. Tamarie would like to see his God given talent be used to bring unity and spread peace to the masses.
